We are delighted to announce the opening of our latest work Tilbury Bridge Walkway of Memories created by Artist EVEWRIGHT at Tilbury Bridge, Tilbury Port in Essex, a contemporary innovative visual artist who works in multimedia showcasing through art and sound, 130 stories of Windrush generation.

About the Event
Tilbury Bridge Walkway of Memories is a site-specific art installation, comprised of images, documents, audio recordings and memorabilia adorning the bridge that passengers of the Empire Windrush first walked across as they entered Britain in 1948.Â

PRIVATE VIEW LAUNCH TILBURY BRIDGE WALKWAY OF MEMORIES Â Â (10AM - 2PM)
During the opening launch, Tilbury Bridge art installation will be used as a back drop to a series of live performances  curated by Artist EVEWRIGHT.  The theme of 'Transition for renewal' will be explored through sound, movement, and words. Visitors will be able to tour the installation.  For an immersive experience, using their own devices, visitors can scan the QR codes on images across 22 listening windows placed throughout the installation, to access the stories . (Please bring your own device and ear/headphones). In addition, visitors will also have an opportunity to tour the main terminal.

The cruise terminal is accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

Please arrive at Tilbury International Cruise Terminal car park RM18 7NJ where stewards will guide you on where to park.

Nearest train station: Tilbury Town
Tilbury International Cruise Terminal is served by a ferry service (Saturday only) and can also be reached by bus. Due to schedule changes however, please check https://tfl.gov.uk/ for the most up-to-date travel information.
