The publication was launched on Windrush Day 22 June 2022. It is an important legacy educational resource to preserve Tilbury Bridge Walkway of Memories an art and sound installed at Tilbury Port that commemorates people from the Windrush generation. This A3 large format document features images of the artwork in the walkway and panoramic aerial photos. Contributions from, Artist EVEWRIGHT, historian S.I Martin and interactive QR codes to access elders’ stories provides a free commemorative and educational resource for the public to enjoy. A limited number will be shared with schools, educational organisations and reference copies sent to libraries and Archives. Essex Record Office and Thurrock Museum will also hold copies of the publication and transcriptions of all the stories collected for reference purposes.
